this week, i've made a couple of those make-you-feel-amazing purchases.
check em out.
check em out.

first, gas was at last glance a mere 4.57, and i don't know about you, but i'm pretty sick of paying that to get around town. so, awhile ago, i read over on patchwork pond, that maris had gotten a cute little bike from the bike church while visiting matt in santa cruz. luckily, right around the time i conceptualized myself on a bike, i happened to be spending the weekend of the fourth in santa cruz, visiting venessa. before we left, i made sure we paid a visit to the bike church. it was a little unnerving at first to walk into this place where everyone seemed to know what they were doing, and to personally know nothing about riding bikes. but, as you can see from the pictures, i ended up finding something pretty dang cute; a 1960s red schwinn for only 40.00! since then, i've ridden my bike twice- 6 miles the first time, and 4 miles tonight (i know, right...). being on a bike is pretty nostalgic, it gives the impression that life is just a little bit more carefree, especially with the summer wind blowing through your hair. i suggest you find a bike and take a little spin around the neighborhood...

secondly, i bought this duvet at anthropologie! danny and i have been looking for a while for a new comforter or duvet, and yesterday we walked into anthro to scope out the options... (which, sidenote: danny totally loves the crazy bright floral ones that i thought he'd hate... strange...) one of my managers, devon, suggested this duvet for us. while it's not my number one, it was a steal. literally, it was 49.00. i can't even purchase a shirt at anthro for that!!
it was pretty dang amazing. and i'm very excited to see what it will look like in my room!
so that was my delightful last couple of days...
[ps. hi mom. here's your post.]
